"I focus my energy on photographing moments that transcend enjoyment and captivate emotion"

Hi! I’m Joey, and that’s Emily.

We’re a husband and wife team residing in Sydney, Australia with our two daughters.

Captivated by the aesthetic power of photos, I discovered photography in 2015 whilst documenting some travels. This combined with a passion for music and sport lead me to chase the artistic satisfaction of capturing a compelling image.

Over the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of taking photos with Nikon Australia, the NRL, Magic Men Australia, Sydney Cricket Ground, Bella Talent Management, and the Rugby League International Federation. My work has been featured in national and international media outlets such as Times of Malta, Radio New Zealand, Loop Vanuatu, Western Advocate, South Coast Register, and Central West Daily.

After getting married in 2019, I organically gravitated towards photographing couples, families with a desire to enter the wedding industry. Emily officially joined the team in 2020 to add her experience in business, marketing, sales, and customer service – most of the time, she will be your first point of contact.

Today, I focus my energy on photographing moments that transcend enjoyment and captivate emotion. I look forward to shooting with you and capturing the memories that pass you by within a blink of an eye.

FAQ

Our wedding is outside of Sydney, do you travel?

Yes! Of course. I've shot weddings all over NSW and am always down to go on an adventure. For weddings outside of the Sydney Metropolitan Area, travel fees do apply.

Are you insured?

I am fully insured through Allianz Insurance. If your venue needs proof of insurance just let me know and I'll be happy to provide that for you.

WHEN DO WE RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS?

For weddings it's typically around 2 - 3 weeks. For other shoots, it's usually around 2 weeks. All of your images are delivered in an online digital gallery and you'll be downloading the full resolution images!

WE LOVE YOUR WORK, HOW DO WE BOOK?!

Great! Let's have a chat! Just scroll a little bit further down and fill out the form. I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Do you have a second shooter?

If you want one, yes! I have options to add a second shooter to your wedding package.

Do you offer videography?

I don't, but I have friends that do! Let me know when you get in touch and I'll be happy to get you connected with the videographers that I work with.

How many photos do we get?

It all depends on how long your wedding day is! I shoot non-stop for the entirety of your wedding, and will select the best photos to process and deliver to your gallery. I'll be happy to discuss this more specifically when I find out more details about your day.

What gear do you have?

On a wedding day, I will always have 2 x professional Nikon cameras on me the entire time. These are fitted with a 27-70mm f2.8 & and 70-200mm f2.8 to ensure that I can capture anything from anywhere within a moments notice.

will emily be attending?

Emily's role is business, logistics & customer service orientated, plus anything and everything else behind the scenes - this means she won't actually be there at the photo shoots or weddings. But you'll definitely get a chance to chat with her over the phone or email!

how would you describe your style?

My style is very photo-journalistic, lucid and authentic. I like to allow for natural moments to flow as I capture photographs whilst being intentional with every shot I take.

I've never posed before, are you able to help?

Most definitely. I capture movements, interactions, and emotions - so I'll guide you along and give you directions so we can capture photos that represent your personality and make for a fun session.

What has been your most memorable moment in photography?

State of Origin 2019. Game 3. The Decider. I specifically remember the moment. 79th minute, points are tied, 5th tackle, expecting to go into overtime, last play. Mitchell Pearce get's the ball, throws a risky cut out pass to Blake Ferguson, he sprints down the sideline. At this point, I chose to be a fan instead of a photographer. I put my camera down, started screaming and enjoying the moment. Ferguson passes the ball to James Tedesco, and that's all she wrote. Tens of thousands of fans screaming down the stadium. I was one of them. We won the series 2-1. Go the Blues.
